The Experience
A. One-Day Tour in Taipei: Guandu Nature Park & Tea Culture at Dadaocheng Itinerary: Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) → Guandu Nature Park (nature center, wetland tour, bird watching) → Lunch → Wang Tea Shop (tea tasting cultural experience) → Dadaocheng Street Walk (free visit) → TICC
★Visit Taiwan’s first wetland reserve, Guandu Nature Park, and learn about the important winter migratory bird habitat in northern Taiwan.
★Walk into Dadaocheng, a mix of old and new, and feel the elegance of the historic neighborhood revived by a new creativity.
★Visit a century-old tea shop to learn about the tea industry and culture of Dadaocheng through tea tasting cultural experience.
B. One-Day Tour in New Taipei: Gongliao Rice Terrace & Shihfen Sky Lantern Itinerary: Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) → Gongliao Rice Terrace (visit rice terraces, field experience) → Lunch → Shihfen Waterfall → Shihfen Old Street – Eco-friendly Sky Lantern Experience → TICC

Two-Day Tour in Tainan: Taijiang Wetland Ecology Exploration & Tainan Culture Experience Itinerary: Day 1 Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) (tour bus) → Lunch → Black-faced Spoonbill Reserve (bird watching) → Sicao Mangrove Green Tunnel→Taijiang National Park → Dinner → Tainan Weiyue Hotel or equivalent Day 2 Breakfast → Walk around Tainan Old City → Lunch with Tainan traditional cultural experience (traditional storytelling performance with English surtitle) → TICC(tour bus)
★Visit the most influential wintering habitat for the black-faced spoonbills, and learn about their ecological conservation stories through guided tour.
★The Taijiang National Park & Visitor Center are unique water stilt houses in white, reflecting on the fish ponds with sparkling lights inspired by local landscape, nature and history.
★The history of Tainan can be traced back to the 1620s. It is the oldest city in Taiwan and also where the name “Taiwan” finds its origin. A walk around Tainan Old Town is a journey through time.

1.We will arrange roommate for solo travelers who select the options "Twin Room for 2 people sharing".
2.Registration will be opened on February 21, 2024 and the deadline is on October 15, 2024. Registration will be closed earlier if the excursion are fully booked or canceled (If there are not enough participants).
3.If the excursion are canceled. We will notify you to switch group or give you full refund.
Important Booking Information
- All tours are only open to "2024 SWS Annual Meeting attendees and their families". For those who do not meet the registration qualifications, we will have the right to refuse their registration.
- The itinerary sequence will be subject to partial changes or adjustments based on weather conditions or special factors.
- Customers are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before travelling to Taiwan.
- Pre-departure notice will be sent to your email one week before the tour departure.
